We are looking for a Foreman of gardeners team for one of our client that is a modern and professional family business with three branches: two in Grou and one in Emmen. The company is active in both the private and business markets. In addition to advice and design, they work on constructing and maintaining valuable outdoor spaces for a variety of clients. From designing green schoolyards to the construction of gardens at healthcare institutions: every project is unique, with its own challenges.


 About the job

  • Planning the sequence of work, and ensuring that all necessary materials and equipment are available as needed.
  • Addressing and resolving any issues that arise during landscaping projects, whether related to materials or unforeseen challenges in the project.
  • Managing the allocation and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring that resources are used efficiently and kept in good working order.
  • Supervising gardeners, providing guidance
What will your day look like? In the morning you and your colleagues drive to the client, where you brief the gardeners about the project. When they then start planting a tree, the customer comes outside. He thinks the tree is so beautiful and would like to have another one. You call the executor, who says that the extra planting will be included in the calculation. However, while planting the second tree, it turns out that it is not in the right type of soil. You come up with a suitable solution in consultation with the customer.
  • Working outdoors
  • Work period: March - September (possibility to discuss about the option to work all year around)
  • 38 - 55 hours per week
    • Saturday hours are paid 150%
    • Sunday - 200%
    • If you work more than 9,5 hours per day - extra hours are paid 130%
    • More than 37 hours per week are paid 130%
  • The travelling time that you spend going from the company to the clients is paid (except for the first 30 minutes of each trip)


 What is required

  • Similar work experience and knowledge of horticulture and landscaping practices
  • Relevant education (connected to horticulture, gardening or similar) is an advantage
  • Good english language knowledge
  • Driving license
  • You are motivated

  • You can communicate and plan well
  • You enjoy working together on projects
  • You have a VCA certificate and BHV certificate, or you are willing to obtain it

  • Start hourly payment from €16 - 18 (depending on your experience, possibility to develop and grow)
